WE LOVE AND SUPPORT OUR TEACHERS —— Littleton Chevrolet’s $5000 Teacher Giveaway – At Littleton Chevrolet, we understand the commitment and dedication that all of our teachers in our community and beyond put into every single day, hour, minute and second to encourage their students to see those victories and to have them grow their confidence. On Monday late in the afternoon, we had the pleasure of seeing this hard working young woman along with her daughter and niece stop by with massive smiles of excitement and a look of disbelief. She could not believe that she had won. She received a call from her mom telling her that she had won. Kelsey Lynn was in shock. On that day, our team welcomed Kelsey of Mt. Royal Academy North in Lancaster, NH with open arms. With a Bachelors in Education from University of Vermont and a Masters Degree from Lyndon State College, Kelsey has been dedicated in molding her students for the past 11 years. She has been at her current location for a year focusing on English and Social Studies with her 5th – 7th graders. When asked, what she thought about our giveaway? Kelsey replied, “I was tagged by multiple friends and teachers. I posted my information and said to myself…I never win anything.” Well that is not true…YOU WON!!!
When we asked Kelsey about what she loves about her career and being a teacher she replied, “I love the relationships that I have built over the years. The atmosphere and class sizes are small. This is where I can develop great one on one conversations, trust and interactions Those students mean the most to me. After 11 years in the education system, I get a lot of invitations to parties and graduation gatherings from the kids. I must be doing something right. One kind of cool event that I was invited to was one of my old students and it was to her wedding. Now that is pretty awesome that they continue to keep me in their lives. I love that!” We asked what she plans on purchasing with the $1000.00 in gift cards? “Plenty of books. The newer series of Perry Jackson books. Graphic novels (that are like comic books) are great and have some amazing illustrations that the students get into. They spend more time reading these and they can’t put them down. Beanbags and my intention of publishing students writings for their own books was something that the kids would appreciate and have for the rest of their lives to look back on.” Kelsey explained that she is including her class in her purchasing decisions. “Sharing items I purchases will be very gratifying and helpful for everyone at our school.” Kelsey loves this school, the students and her fellow teachers and staff so much. “This is a wonderful opportunity and I am so grateful.” These items will be with the school for a long time just as I will continue to commit to a long career in education. I love what I do.” Congratulations to you Kelsey. We enjoyed our time speaking with you and getting to know you. We are so excited to be able to do this for you and your school. You are an amazing, bright and talented teacher that dedicates her passion to the students. The Mt. Royal Academy North school is blessed to have you on their team.
