We are so excited to announce the final winner of our Littleton Chevrolet Teacher Giveaway! Please join us in congratulating Maci MacKillop, a dedicated 2nd-grade teacher at Lakeway Elementary School right here in Littleton.

This year marks the start of Maci’s third year teaching, and we couldn’t be more impressed with her journey. After graduating from Plymouth State University in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Maci didn’t stop there. She is currently working toward her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Design from Southern New Hampshire University. It’s truly refreshing to see such a young and passionate educator so committed to her students and her career.

We asked Maci what she loves most about being a teacher, and her answer was so heartwarming. “I have always loved kids,” she said. “Even in high school, I did a lot of babysitting and I really enjoyed my time with them.” She went on to explain how rewarding it is to help her students develop relationships and grow as people. “In 2nd grade, it’s the perfect opportunity to encourage them and see them grow. Their social and emotional growth is so important at this age. As they grow during the year, they begin to build friendships and independence.” She loves seeing the unique things that make each of her students special.

Maci also shared her appreciation for the support system at her school. She noted that her fellow teachers often meet as a group to discuss student concerns, data and testing, and the social and emotional aspects of a student’s journey.

When asked about the biggest challenge she faces as a teacher, Maci’s response was simple and selfless: “I just don’t have enough time in the day to get everything that I want to do with the students. I just want to keep helping them grow.” Her desire to do more for her students, even with the limited time she has, is truly inspiring.

And now for the important question—what will Maci be purchasing with her $500 Amazon Gift Card? She plans to invest in more manipulatives for her classroom, including cards, tiles, base-10 blocks, and dice. These hands-on math tools will help her students learn in a fun and engaging way.

Congratulations, Maci! We are so proud of you and your commitment to making a difference in the lives of your students. We thank you and all of the incredible teachers out there who work tirelessly to shape the next generation. Have a fantastic school year!

#WeLoveTeachers

At Littleton Chevrolet, we are so excited to celebrate the amazing teachers in our community! We’re thrilled to announce our first Teachers Giveaway winner, the wonderful and dedicated, Sarah Knudson from Woodsville Elementary School.

Sarah, a 3rd-grade teacher who lives in North Haverhill, NH, stopped by the dealership to pick up her prize—one of four $500 Amazon gift cards to help get her classroom ready for the new school year.

“I was in total shock…I never win anything,” Sarah told us, but we’re so glad she did! With over 30 years of experience, she’s a true veteran in her field, getting her start in the Claremont School District before coming to Woodsville 12 years ago. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York.

The start of this school year was a bit rocky, with construction delays preventing teachers from getting into their classrooms. “We finally got the word that we could begin the process of prepping our classrooms,” Sarah said. “We did not have much time to prep, but everyone came together to get ready for our students.”

When we asked what she loves most about her career, Sarah’s passion was clear. “In the 3rd grade, it is their growth…that lightbulb goes off,” she explained. “The growth they make in reading, writing, math and building relationships with new friends.” She also loves to discuss important life lessons with her students, like “showing kindness, responsibility, and being respectful to one another…that is like our school mantra.”

As for her winnings, Sarah is considering buying something she knows will engage her students: “Graphic novels (comic book types) have been a moving point for our students. They really get into it. They love them and it keeps them engaged.”

Thank you, Sarah, for everything you do! It was a pleasure getting to know you and your incredible history. Congratulations again on being one of our winners! We stand with you and all the amazing teachers out there, and we wish you a successful 2025-2026 school year.

LITTLETON CHEVROLET’S TEACHER GIVEAWAY – The school year is just getting off the ground and we are so excited to announce our next Littleton Chevrolet Teacher Giveaway winner! This giveaway is our way of helping amazing local educators get their classrooms ready or purchase items of need for another year of teaching and making a difference.

Last week we met with our winner and today we’re celebrating Linda Poulin, the incredible Speech and Language Pathologist at Berlin Elementary! Linda has been a dedicated SLP for 22 years, and she leads a talented team of assistant SLPs. Linda’s path to this career is truly inspiring. She went back to school at 41, earning her Bachelor’s in 2001 and later her Master of Science in Communications. In fact, she was the first assistant SLP in the State of New Hampshire!

Over the years, Linda has held many different roles, including a Nurse’s Aide and Para Professional, and she even had her own private practice. She is also a feeding and swallowing consultant for Special Medical Services who sees North Country children in collaboration with a pediatric dietitian. But what truly stands out is her deep commitment to her students. Linda and her team work specifically with Kindergarten and 1st-grade students, helping them find their voices. Last year alone, they worked with a caseload of 70 students!

When we asked Linda what she loves most about her career, she shared, “I care. I care about the students deeply and want to see them taking steps to improve.”

Her work has led to some truly special moments. She told us about a young boy who used an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device—a tablet that helps students with speech impairments communicate—to tell his mom he loved her. What a powerful moment!

Linda told us, “We do not do what we do because of the pay, we do what we do because we want to make a difference in a child’s life.”

To help Linda and her team continue their vital work, we were thrilled to give her a $500 Amazon Gift Card! When we asked what she plans to do with the money, she said they have been looking to purchase a sensory swing for their students. A sensory swing provides therapeutic input for kids with sensory processing challenges, and it will be a wonderful addition to their classroom.

Thank you, Linda, for your passion, hard work, and commitment to the students of our community. It was a pleasure to spend time with you and your caring team. We’re wishing you all the best for another successful and gratifying school year!

Step Back in Time: Celebrating the 95-Year History of the Littleton Diner

Tucked away on Main Street in the heart of Littleton, New Hampshire, sits an icon of North Country life: The Littleton Diner. This isn’t just a place to grab a quick bite; it’s a living piece of history, a beacon of home-cooked New England tradition, and a beloved community landmark that’s been welcoming patrons for an incredible 95 years.

The Early Days: An Instant Success

The story of the Littleton Diner began in 1930. The Littleton Courier newspaper announced with excitement that construction had started on the foundation for a “modern parlor car diner.” Imagine the scene: the original diner, a “parlor car,” arrived by rail and was carefully transported to its spot next to the Masonic Temple.

Opened by Eugene and Stella Stone in mid-1930, the new restaurant, with its seating capacity of just 25 and an open kitchen, was an instant hit. The concept of a modern, efficient, and delicious diner meal immediately resonated with the local community.

A Sterling Upgrade and Enduring Design

The Stones’ first parlor car diner proved so successful that, just ten years later in 1940, they decided to upgrade. They sold the original and replaced it with the current structure—a Sterling Diner, manufactured by the J. B. Judkins Company of Merrimac, Massachusetts.

This Sterling model, known for its quality and craftsmanship, featured interior and exterior surfaces finished with porcelain enamel. Even today, you can observe the enduring quality and modular design that defines this classic American diner structure. Prior to World War II, the kitchen was moved out of the main dining room, and an additional dining area was added, allowing the diner to accommodate more hungry customers.

A Community Pillar Through the Decades

Over the years, the Littleton Diner has changed hands a few times, but its core mission of providing hearty, affordable, home-cooked New England meals has remained constant. From the Stone family to the Burpees, and eventually to the current hands-on owners, Chris and Patti Williford, the diner has always been a labor of love.

A notable facelift in the mid-1990s updated the kitchen and saw the reopening of the additional dining area. This section now features the unique and beautiful “North Country Main Street” mural, a stunning piece of local art created by talented students from Littleton High School. The mural is a tribute to the magic of Northern New England’s four seasons and the charming panorama of Littleton’s Main Street.

More Than Just Food

In a world increasingly dominated by fast-food chains, the Littleton Diner has not only survived but thrived. It has steadfastly maintained the traditions of the American diner: generous portions, reasonable prices, and food crafted to order with fresh, prepared-on-site ingredients. Forget the pre-packaged product—this is where you find legendary, homemade corned beef hash and soups and desserts made from scratch.

Its enduring appeal has not gone unnoticed. The Littleton Diner has been featured in national publications like Yankee Magazine and local programs like PBS’s New Hampshire Crossroads. Given New Hampshire’s vital role in the Presidential Primary, the diner has also become a highly popular spot for visiting politicians and dignitaries from across the country, adding to its unique history as a place where local life and national conversations intersect.

Visit a Legend

As the Littleton Diner approaches its centennial, it stands as a testament to the power of tradition and community. It is a warm, welcoming space where locals and visitors alike can “step back in time” and enjoy the kind of quality, comforting food that defines the region.

The next time you find yourself in the vibrant town of Littleton, stop by 145 Main Street. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast, lunch, or one of their daily specials, you’re not just having a meal—you’re participating in a 95-year tradition of North Country hospitality. Come for the food, stay for the history, and leave feeling like family. Check out their website at https://www.littletondiner.com/

Walking along the counter is a journey through candy history. Chutters boasts an incredible variety, with over 500 options available for you to choose from by the pound. You’ll find:

  • Nostalgic Classics: Everything from hard-to-find ‘penny’ candies (though they certainly don’t cost a penny anymore!), like Necco Wafers and Bit-O-Honey, to beloved retro sours and traditional jelly beans.
  • Gummy Galore: The sheer volume of gummies is a feat in itself—worms, bears, sea creatures, sours, and every fruity flavor imaginable.
  • Chocolatier’s Dream: Beyond the main counter, Chutters offers an extensive specialty chocolate area, featuring over 170 varieties of handcrafted treats, including caramels and nut clusters.
  • Famous Fudge: Don’t miss the house-made fudge counter. With dozens of flavors ranging from classic chocolate and maple walnut to adventurous seasonal creations like Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel, you’ll be hard-pressed to pick just one.

More Than Just Candy

While the world-record counter is the main draw, Chutters is also a beloved pillar of the Littleton community. Its history stretches back to the late 1800s as a general store opened by Frederick George Chutter. Today, it retains the warm hospitality of that era, making every visitor feel welcome.

Beyond the bulk candy, the store is stocked with:

  • Gourmet Goodies: Pre-packaged chocolates, artisan sweets, and fun gift tins.
  • Local Souvenirs: New Hampshire-themed gifts and White Mountains apparel.
  • Sweet Treats to Go: They also sell cold drinks and other delectable, non-candy items.

The Ultimate Road Trip Stop

Whether you’re a local looking for a holiday treat, a family driving through the White Mountains, or a candy connoisseur ticking off a bucket list item, a stop at Chutters is an essential New England experience.

Grab your bag, don a plastic glove (for hygiene!), and prepare to lose yourself in the delightful dilemma of choice. Just be warned: with 112 feet of sugary goodness calling your name, your bag—and your wallet—will likely be a lot heavier when you finally make it to the register!

Here at Littleton Chevrolet, 1992 was a landmark year—it’s when we first opened our doors! As we were getting started, a unique brand was making its mark on the automotive world: Geo and we sold a ton of them.

Ever wonder what the Geo lineup was all about? Geo was a sub-brand of Chevrolet, introduced by General Motors to compete with the growing popularity of small, affordable, and fuel-efficient imported cars. The idea was to combine the trusted Chevrolet dealer network with vehicles built in partnership with Japanese automakers like Suzuki, Toyota, and Isuzu.

For its customers, the Geo lineup offered a new kind of vehicle with a focus on reliability and value. In 1992, the lineup included the famously fuel-efficient Geo Metro, the versatile Geo Prizm (a rebadged Toyota Corolla), the sporty Geo Storm, and the rugged little Geo Tracker SUV. These cars provided a great option for people looking for a dependable and economical ride.

The Geo brand was a fascinating experiment that lasted for about a decade, from 1989 until it was absorbed back into the Chevrolet brand after the 1997 model year. Though the Geo nameplate disappeared, many of the models, like the Metro, Prizm, and Tracker, lived on for a few more years as Chevrolets.

The automotive world has been buzzing with anticipation, and the wait is officially over. Chevrolet has pulled back the curtain on its newest masterpiece, the 2026 Corvette ZR1x, and it’s nothing short of a true American hypercar. This isn’t just a new Corvette; it’s a monumental leap forward, blending legendary performance with groundbreaking hybrid technology.

A Hybrid with a Hypercar’s Heart

Forget everything you thought you knew about the Corvette. The ZR1x takes the foundation of the acclaimed C8 platform and pushes it into another dimension. At its core is the twin-turbocharged 5.5L V8 engine, known as the LT7, which produces an astounding 1,064 horsepower on its own. But the “x” in the name signifies its biggest secret: a powerful electric motor on the front axle. This hybrid system, an evolution of the one found in the Corvette E-Ray, elevates the total system output to an earth-shattering 1,250 horsepower.

This isn’t a hybrid for fuel economy; it’s a hybrid for pure, unadulterated performance. The all-wheel-drive system provides otherworldly traction, allowing the ZR1x to launch from 0 to 60 mph in a blistering time of under 2 seconds. This places it firmly in the company of the world’s most elite hypercars, all while carrying a price tag that is a fraction of the cost of its European rivals.

Beyond the Numbers: A Driver’s Dream

The ZR1x isn’t just a straight-line rocket. Chevrolet has engineered this car to be the ultimate track weapon, with a top speed on the track estimated at 233 mph. The ZTK Performance Package enhances this capability with higher spring rates, modified chassis controls, advanced carbon fiber aerodynamics, and Michelin Pilot Cup 2R tires.

The technology extends into the cockpit as well. A new Auxiliary Display and a redesigned interior offer a driver-focused experience, with features like “PTM Pro Mode” that give the driver even more control over the car’s immense power. This level of customization and control ensures that the ZR1x is not only a numbers car but a genuinely engaging and rewarding vehicle to drive on the road and the track.

A Limited Edition for a Limited Few

For those looking for an even more exclusive experience, Chevrolet has announced the Quail Silver Limited Edition. This special edition, with its unique matte Blade Silver paint and exclusive interior colorways, will be a rare collector’s item.

The 2026 Corvette ZR1x is more than a car; it’s a statement. It’s proof that American ingenuity can compete and win at the very pinnacle of automotive performance. This is the new benchmark, and it’s built right here in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Get ready, the hypercar landscape has a new king.

His approachable demeanor and genuine passion made him a respected figure within the community.

A New Chapter at South Farm

While his directorship at the Rocks Estate has come to a close, Nigel’s roots in the Christmas tree industry remain firmly planted. He has embarked on a new venture with his own tree farm, South Farm. Located in [insert actual location of South Farm if known, otherwise remove this] located on Route 18 in Bethlehem just down the road from Profile High School, South Farm is a testament to his enduring love for cultivating Christmas trees. This new chapter allows him to continue his work on a more personal scale, applying his years of expertise and passion to nurturing his own patch of holiday cheer.

Nigel Manley’s contributions to the Christmas tree industry, his unwavering support for Trees for Troops, and his thoughtful leadership at the Rocks Estate have created a lasting legacy.
